Solar Light Success Story
Fafco Solar's entire Cape Coral facility uses solar tubular skylights, significantly reducing our electricity usage. Take a look at our sales room bathed in natural sunlight, which is far easier on the eyes than fluorescent lighting. During the day, the solar lights provide more than adequate light. We use fluorescent lighting only in the early morning and when the sky is very dark and stormy (light overcast still provides adequate light).

The success is in the savings. The fluorescent lighting in this office consumes approximately 500W of electricity. By turning the lights off 8 hours per business day we save over 1 million watt-hours per year, resulting in annual cost savings of over $120 for the three 13 inch solar lights. Our facility has 21 solar lights installed in various sizes, resulting in tremendous operating cost savings.
